ASHRAE
was formed in 1959 by the merging of two societies: the American Society of
Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the American Society of
Refrigerating Engineers. Since then we have grown in size and purpose.
ASHRAE
is an international voluntary organization for people involved in heating,
ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration (HVAC&R). The society helps
to provide its members access to HVAC&R technology and opportunities to
participate in the development of such technology.
Mission Statement:
ASHRAE will advance the arts and sciences of heating,
ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and related human factors to
serve the evolving needs of the public and ASHRAE members.
